Introduction
BIS Certification / ISI Mark are issued by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). ISI certification is known for the quality assurance to the customer. The Product manufacturer (only) is eligible to get the BIS Certification. There are several products which are covered under mandatory BIS Certification list.
Manufacturer need to get the product tested with IS standard by in-house lab. Then it will be required to apply to BIS office with related documents. Then BIS officer will visit to factory for physical audit. ISI Certificate will be issued after verification of the factory and all required documents.
