Introduction
Extended Producer’s Responsibility (EPR) certificate is mandatory for the manufacturer of notified IT & Electronics products. This certificate is given by the Central Pollution Control Board. The producers of electronic and electrical products have a responsibility to manage the e-waste after the expiry/disposal of their product. Basically, EPR Certificate is meant to save the environment from e-waste products. RACAP India helps in applying for the EPR Registration.
The manufacturer of IT & electronic products has to prepare an agreement with recycling agency and compile all the relevant documents to apply for the EPR Authorization.

EPR Authorization is valid for 5 years and it can be renewed subsequently. Few documents and fees will be needed to get renewal.
